Founded in Brazil in 1939 as Forjas Taurus Ltda., Taurus began as a small machining and forging operation before producing its first revolver in 1941. From these beginnings, Taurus grew into one of the world’s recognised handgun manufacturers.

Over more than eight decades, Taurus has continued to invest in modern manufacturing, engineering and firearm design. Its range has expanded to serve sporting shooters, hunters, competitive shooters, law enforcement and defence markets around the world.

Taurus is particularly known for innovative and distinctive firearms including the Judge, Raging Hunter and TX22, alongside its extensive range of semi-automatic pistols and revolvers.

Today, Taurus continues its long tradition of producing practical, innovative and competitively priced firearms for shooters worldwide.
