Snap Caps

Snap Caps
Snap caps are dummy cartridges designed to imitate the size and shape of live ammunition without containing a primer, powder or projectile.
They are commonly used for dry-fire practice, function testing, firearm familiarisation and checking feeding or cycling without using live ammunition. Many snap caps feature a cushioned or spring-loaded area where the firing pin strikes, helping reduce stress on certain firearm components during dry firing.
Snap caps are available in a wide range of rifle, shotgun and handgun calibres and can be a useful addition to a shooter’s maintenance and training equipment.
Always confirm the firearm is unloaded and keep live ammunition separate when using snap caps.
